Vaccines for Children, Adults and Travel

The goal of the vaccination program is to reduce and eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases among children, teens, and adults. The program seeks to prevent 17 vaccine preventable diseases (listed below) with currently available vaccines.

  • COVID
  • Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis
  • Haemophilus influenzae type b
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Human papillomavirus
  • Influenza
  • Measles, mumps and rubella
  • Meningococcal (meningitis)
  • Pneumococcal (pneumonia)
  • Polio
  • Rotavirus
  • RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)
  • Typhoid
  • Varicella (chicken pox)
  • Yellow Fever
  • Zoster (shingles – adults only)

Travel Clinic

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department provides pre-travel advice, vaccines, and medicines before you travel. Call to make an appointment at least 6-10 weeks before traveling so vaccines have time to take effect.

Please note: Insurances may or may not cover the cost of all recommended vaccines for travel and payment is expected at time of service.
